PhD in Economics of Latin America and MSc. in Globalization and Development in Latin America (2005--2006) from the University of London (Institute for the Study of the Americas). She is currently Vice-Dean of Economics in the Faculty of Economics and Business, Professor in the Department of Economics and Economic History and a full member of the Instituto de Iberoamérica at the Universidad de Salamanca. She received the 2010 Agrarian History Award from the Sociedad Española de Historia Agraria, SEHA. She has been a member of the board of the Sociedad Española de Historia Agraria (SEHA) since December 2013 and of the Editorial Board of AGER Revista de Estudios sobre Despoblación y Desarrollo (Scopus).

Doctora en Economía de América Latina y Magíster en Globalización y Desarrollo en América Latina (2005--2006) por la Universidad de Londres (Instituto para el Estudio de las Américas). Actualmente es Vicedecana de Economía de la Facultad de Economía y Empresa, Profesora del Departamento de Economía e Historia Económica y miembro de número del Instituto de Iberoamérica de la Universidad de Salamanca. Recibió el Premio de Historia Agraria 2010 de la Sociedad Española de Historia Agraria, SEHA. Es miembro del consejo de la Sociedad Española de Historia Agraria (SEHA) desde diciembre de 2013 y del consejo editorial de AGER Revista de Estudios sobre Despoblación y Desarrollo (Scopus).
